Our story began...
…on September 14, 2014, the day Aaron Maier passed away at the age of 28 after his second battle with cancer. The brother and best friend of our founders, Ted Time Co. started in his memory and Aaron became the inspiration behind it.
Although Aaron’s time on Earth was shorter than most, he lived a life that was uniquely his own. He was effortlessly charismatic, unquestionably genuine, and inspiringly original in everything he did, his fearlessly bold sense of style always standing out. Even in the face of his disease, he lived life to its fullest, making the most of every second he was given.
Those who knew Aaron also knew his stuffed bear Ted that had been by his side since his first battle with cancer at the age of two. Ted served as a constant reminder to never lose that childlike enthusiasm for life no matter your age or circumstance. When we started this brand, it was obvious to us that Ted was the perfect representation of our mission to fearlessly bring more fun into a world that often forgets what’s most important.
Our mission is bigger than watches...
This tragedy taught us a tough, but valuable lesson about life. Like it or not, we’re all born into this world with an expiration date and the clock just keeps on ticking. Since we can’t stop it or rewind it, what do we do?
Somebody smarter than us once said, “Lost time is never found again….”
We don’t ever want anyone to forget that. Wearing a Ted watch means you're a part of a community that believes a watch is less about telling time and more about tracking it, reminding us that life is always moving forward and that we need to make every moment count.
We are not a watch company; our mission is bigger than that. Our take, with Ted as our guide, is simple – let’s make the most of the time we’ve got!

Aaron never had a hard time expressing his unique personal style. For us, it wasn’t quite as easy, so we wanted to create something that would give anyone the fearless confidence to express themselves at every moment.
We’re here for the fun-seekers, the scene-makers, the risk-takers, and the fearless originals. For those who want to stand out; who dare to do things differently; who break molds, push boundaries, and aren't afraid to ruffle some feathers to follow their gut.

Ted symbolizes an idea that Aaron embodied to the fullest - grow old, not up. As Aaron’s spirit is core to our brand, so to is continuing the fight he started against cancer. Ted Time Co. is proud to partner with leading organizations supporting the adolescent and young adult cancer communities.
